Advanced Radiotherapy Treatment for Cancer

The TrueBeam® system from Varian Medical Systems offers advanced precision in radiotherapy that enables us to treat even the most challenging cancer cases, such as those of the lung, liver, abdomen, head and neck, brain, and breast.

TrueBeam technology unlocks our ability to employ sophisticated treatment techniques with precision and speed, reducing most treatment sessions to only a few minutes a day. In the hands of our expert team of oncology professionals, TrueBeam brings your patients a level of care that rivals the most preeminent cancer centers in the country. in fact, 8 of the top 10 U.S. cancer hospitals* have TrueBeam, the same advanced technology you’ll find here at Garden State Radiation Oncology.

Look To TrueBeam When Your Patients Look To You

Your patients rely on you for the best treatment recommendations when they are confronting cancer. They want the most advanced technology and the highest level of clinical expertise. We hope you’ll tell them about the extraordinary oncology program we have here at [Your Cancer Center] and about TrueBeam.

TrueBeam enables our radiation oncology team to design optimal treatment options for almost any cancer. It allows us to employ a variety of different approaches to treatment, including intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), and RapidArc® radiotherapy, a form of volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT). This gives us the versatility to tailor each patient’s treatment, using the most appropriate technique for each case.

It’s all made possible by the TrueBeam system’s ability to automatically synchronize imaging, beam shaping, and dose delivery, while performing internal accuracy checks every ten milliseconds throughout the entire treatment.

We Can See And Track The Tumor In 3-D — And In Real Time

Before and even during treatment, a TrueBeam system’s enhanced imaging tools can generate high-quality 3-D images of the tumor and surrounding anatomy, which enables our oncology team to fine-tune a patient’s position to maximize accuracy. Images can be created 60% faster, using 25% less X-ray dose, than was possible with previous generations of Varian imaging technology.

In addition, the system employs gating technology to synchronize imaging and beam delivery with the tumor motion that occurs as the patient breathes, facilitating the treatment of complex cancer cases in the lung and breast. This powerful combination of imaging and treatment technologies makes TrueBeam fast and precise while helping minimize exposure of healthy tissue.

Truebeam Puts Your Patients First

With its shorter treatment times and quiet operation, TrueBeam provides for a more comfortable experience for your patients.

Two-way audio and closed-circuit TV technology allows our radiation therapists to be in contact with your patient during treatment. We can play music during the session, which helps create a more relaxing environment. And because treatment times are short, patients can be in and out of sessions quickly, so they can get back to their lives with minimal disruption.

The Cancer-Fighting Technology That Keeps Getting Better

The fight against cancer is constantly evolving as researchers around the world search for new and more effective treatment techniques. TrueBeam Developer Mode enables leading academic centers to explore new regimens in a non-clinical mode to improve treatments. As new protocols and other enhancements are discovered, they can be incorporated into TrueBeam software updates so that facilities like ours can put them to work treating patients.

TrueBeam is an evolutionary tool that truly keeps getting better at treating cancer.
